3.0 Video Player

Default View – Video View with Activity Panel minimized

When the user launches the video conversation, the default view is the Video View with the Activity Panel minimized.  The Activity Panel is a condensed view with a roll up count of activities that occur during the previous and current 10sec time segment.

Activity Panel Minimized View

  • Previous 10sec segment button
    • Roll up count showing count of all comments and reactions.  Clicking on this button will take the user to the List View for that 10sec segment.
  • Current 10sec segment
    • Top 3 relevant comments.  Includes Moderator Comments, Questions, Own Comments, “Hot” Comments
    • User Avatar of who made the comment.
    • Comments posted directly to a moderator will display a Lock icon in the avatar.
    • Timestamp of comment
    • Badge count of number of replies for the comment.
    • Other visual icons to denote more information about the comment.
      • Question
      • Question that is marked as solved
      • Attachment
      • Edited
      • Hidden (Moderator View only)

Activity Panel Expanded View

The user sees the Activity Panel Expanded View by hovering over the Activity Panel Minimized View. Once expanded the user sees more detail about the items in the Activity Panel.

Add Comment

A user can add a comment to the video by clicking on the comment icon in the touchbar.  The Add Comment Overlay comes up and the user can add comment text or an attachment. The comment timestamp is “locked in” once the user starts typing in text. Even though the video continues playing in the background, the comment will be timestamp at the point the user starting typing so that the comment stays relevant.


Add Reaction

A user can add a reaction to the video by clicking on the emoji icon in the touchbar.  The Add Reaction Overlay comes and the user can add a reaction to a video timestamp.  The video currently supports 4 reactions:

  • Heart
  • Thumbs Up
  • Thumbs Down
  • Disagree

The user can add 1 reaction per second on the video. The user can delete a reaction by deselecting the emoji button, or change a reaction by picking a different reaction in the Reaction Overlay.


List View

The user can switch to List View by clicking on the eyeball
icon in the touchbar.  The List View
allows the user to see the full conversation stream.  This includes comments and reactions that
users have added to the video. 

  • The user can click on a List View item to see
    the Comment Details screen.
  • The video continues playing in the background.
  • The user can still interact with the video
    through the engagement buttons in the touchbar.


Comment Detail

The user can click on a comment in the List View and see the
Comment Detail screen.  Alternatively, clicking
on an item in the Expanded List View also brings up the Comment Detail
screen.  The Comment Detail screen shows
the comment text, along with the reply and reaction count for the comment.  If applicable, it shows attachment and reply
information.

The user can sync the comment with the video by clicking the
“Go to” button under the user avatar.


Edit Comment

The user can edit a comment, comment reply or discussion reply they made by clicking on the Edit icon in the touchbar of the Comment Detail screen. A user can edit the comment text, add or remove an attachment. Once an attachment is removed, it cannot be replaced.


Delete Comment

The user can delete a comment, comment reply or discussion reply they made by clicking on the Delete icon in the touchbar of the Comment Detail screen. When a comment is deleted, it is removed from the conversation stream.


Flag Comment

The user can flag any comment, comment reply or discussion reply in the conversation stream by clicking on the Flag icon in the touchbar of the Comment Detail screen. The user can choose the reason for flagging the comment. In the 3.0 Manager Dashboard, when a comment is flag, the moderator will be notified.


Reaction Detail

The user can view who reacted to the video by clicking on the Reaction line item from the List View. The Reaction Details screen shows the user avatars and Display Name sorted alphabetically from A to Z.


Graph View

The user can switch to Graph View by clicking on the eyeball
icon in the touchbar.  The Graph View
allows the user to see a visual representation of activities that occur in the
video.  Activity graph bars will display
on the video where they occur.

  • Current graph bar will highlight.
  • Past and future graph bars are faded.
  • A white vertical line progresses with the video
    to show the current timestamp.
  • Hovering over a graph bar shows activity
    details.
  • The video continues playing in the background.
  • The user can still interact with the video
    through the engagement buttons in the touchbar.


Call to Action List View

A user can view all the call to actions in the video by clicking on the megaphone icon in the header bar. Current call to actions supported are:

  • Discussions. Users can reply to discussions. Discussion icons are colored green.
  • Messages. These are announcements to users. Message icons are colored yellow.


Mandatory Call to Actions

In the 3.0 video player, a mandatory call to action will pause the video and show the Call to Action Detail screen. The user can choose to interact or return to the video. Mandatory Call to Actions are colored red regardless the Call to Action type.


User Profile Detail

A user can view their User Detail screen by clicking on their user avatar in the header bar. The User Detail screen gives a summary of the user’s total activities, number of conversations the user is in, and the user’s total reactions.

The user’s average eScore and average mScore is also shown. These scores will give the user an indication of how engaged they were in the video, and how positive or negative their mood was.

The user can click on the Edit Profile button in the touchbar to change their Display Name and/or Full Name.
